Sometimes life has some real surprises! It happened to me one day when my husband and I started to drive through a car wash. Always an "artist...at heart" I mentioned to Bill how beautiful all the colors were when the soap and other things were put on the windshield. It was too late to get out my camera, but I decided that when we came to the car wash again, I would certainly photograph the way the water pulled the suds around and the drying air pushed them into different configurations and then finally away completely.
Now, I know what you are thinking, "Boy, it doesn't take much to entertain her!" Well, it really does, but curiosity can make one think beyond the ordinary...or maybe even bring the ordinary into a new light. Let's take a look.
Now translate the beauty of color into the beauty of everyday real things. See them with different eyes. What color is a deer? Not all deer are the same color and neither is every bird or other of God's creatures. We know that the people God has made have different skin, eye and hair colors.
The hairs of our head are numbered, so the Holy Scriptures tell us, so why would not God have decided every color for each of His creations. Let's take another look at some of the photographs that I have made over the years. I will try to share some of my observations.
This deer is a Mother with her two fawns. They pretty much have the same hair tone.
However, later I noticed that there was another deer following her about. This deer was much deeper in color, as seen below.
As each of the little ones grew, the spots began to fade, but the colors of the family pretty much stayed the same. The "orphan deer" with the deep tone almost always stayed the same, making it easier to identify her from the rest. You may wonder if any of this matters? To me, it did. I wanted to know which ones were which. Just as I am glad that God knows us as individuals, not as a group. Thank you, Lord, for making us unique in so many ways!
