GOING HOME

REMEMBERING THAT WAR IS HELL AND SOME DO NOT RETURN

Recently a somber service was held and a salute was given to six brave members of our military.  Their bodies were carefully carried out to be taken home to a grieving family.  They were not expecting to GO HOME this way, but it was their reality.   God only knows our time or hour. We each do our jobs and care for one another as much as possible, but  when the time comes, it is a sad and somber moment.

We pray that their spirits are seeing the glory of God.  Perhaps they are seeing the universe as we can only imagine.  Perhaps they were welcomed into the arms of loved ones who have gone before them.    One of the greatest promises in the Holy Scriptures is a familiar one for most Christians.

John 3: 16   "FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD, THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY SON, THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM, SHALL NOT PERISH, BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE."

Thank you, Lord, for someday we will all be "Going Home."

The following video is of previous memorial and  the song GOING HOME.
